While you can easily understand that the stress you are feeling is temporary, your body goes into fight or flight mode because it cannot ascertain the threat like you can. Reduce the stress in your life to stay calm and help your body function efficiently. Liquid calories are still calories, so watch what you drink. All beverages other than water have calories in them. Calories from all the beverages you consume throughout the day can add up fast. Take calories from all sources into consideration when counting them, including those from your drinks.

Skipping meals causes the body to burn fat more slowly because it thinks food is scarce, making losing weight even harder. If it is not possible to have a meal, eat a healthy snack. Grabbing a package of nuts is a lot better than going hungry. Calories that are not burned do not disappear into thin air; they are stored in your body as fat. So keep this in mind when eating prior to going to bed. Try to eat you meals before an activity instead of after. If you do this, you will burn off the calories that you have just taken in.
